Great food served here in a 70 yr old house.

Very good ugani -- the eel was creamy and tasty. Wish we got a bigger portion.

Delicious traditional Japanese grilled eel on rice. Summer is the perfect season to have a Unagi/Anago meal.

We we're walking down the street and saw a huge line of Japane people waiting to get in this restaurant. We decided to join the line and had the best anago I've ever had. Only found out later that it is famous. Incredible serendipity.

Excellent eel

This Michelin Bib Gourmand-rated eatery specialises in Anago (traditional conger eel) not the freshwater unagi. Offer both dine in and take away. Dine in expect a very long wait and they closes between lunch and dinner. If you do not have time, safe yourself sometime and buy their takeaway anagi roll. You will not be disappointed.

Wow. We walked in here out of curiosity but we're lucky enough to get seats straight away. Seems to be normally a place you'd want to book beforehand. Awesome anago dishes. You can choose how you want your eels cooked, with different sizes. Ordered a draft beer served in a ceramic cup which was a nice change. Beer comes with a side piece of eel as well.

This place is known to be the best anago restaurant in Tokyo. I came here for dinner and it was a bustling place. I had the set meal which included a variety of dishes all prepared with anago. Interesting experience and tasty food.

Got there at 2:15, they close at 3:30. Maybe 12 people lined up outside and the ladies in line said they were the end of it. Utterly disappointed, but it is a tiny place.

Good!

Nice unagi box at quite affordable prices. The shop is quite small and I think there is an expectation you should make a reservation. We arrived at 5pm and was told without a reservation we could only be there for an hour which was no problems at all.

Best anago with rice experience I've ever had!! From amazing aromatic dashi broth to the herbs they use to cook saltwater eel with - can definitely recommend!

Super busy restaurant, and for a good reason. Best unagi I've ever had!

Most delicious eel meal ever. The medium size box was plenty for one.The space is tiny and even though we went within 30 mins of its opening the space was already booked by reservation. Luckily the wait was short and it was so worth it. By the time we came back, the line was still out the door.

Amazing anago. Get the medium box and try both versions of unagi to see which you prefer. Both are excellent. Must eat in the area.

Delicious Eel and Anago. Queue up , it's well worth it. English menu available

Very friendly service. Has English menu. Amago is tasty and uses interesting spices but probably not as flavoursome as the Unagi.
